DKP Rules

Concerns about loot priority, looting in general, or specific loot issues should be directed to Raid Leader.

DKP Awards

Progression raids:

2 DKP per hour
2 DKP per boss kill
3 DKP for a new boss kill

Farmed raids:

1 DKP per hour
1 DKP per boss kill

A "Farmed" boss is one that has been killed at least 3 times, one of which is a one-shot. A single raid may have both Farmed and New bosses, and the rate will be adjusted appropriately.

All Raids:

1 DKP for On-time bonus, 1 DKP for ironman. Once the DKP tracker starts the timer for DKP, the mod will track everyone in the raid. When the raid timer is stopped, those raiders who have been there until the end will receive the Ironman bonus. Manual adjustment will be made for players who switch to an alt at the RL's request during the raid.

There are many variations of DKP and looting system. We will use this system until changed. No DKP system will satisfy all guild members 100% of the time. DKP procedures are continually reviewed and are subject to change.

If you are newly accepted into Broken Faith, you will be on a 'Trial' period in which you can accumulate DKP but not be able to spend it. After the trial period is over, usually within 2-3 weeks, you will be able to spend DKP on items.

Note: Pre-arranged loot distribution among members of a class, or between classes, in order to continually bid the minimal DKP is not tolerated. This is grounds for disciplinary actions which will include removal from the guild. Do NOT 'modify' nor corrupt the DKP bidding system.

For gear priority by class and spec, please look at http://www.wow-loot.com/ for the appropriate instance.

Patterns/crafting items
The general goal is to get patterns and crafting materials (primals, nethers, etc.) into the hands of characters who can and will use them in order to improve the guild's capabilities.

Patterns are distributed by a random/100 roll to eligible characters in the raid. In order to be eligible, characters must be members, have the appropriate profession at the required skill level (generally 450), and, if the result of the pattern is BOP, be able to use the item produced in their primary raid role. In the special case of patterns that produce BOE items, rolls for (only) the first of those patterns that drops for the guild will be restricted to officers.

Patterns that are BOE will be learned on the spot once distributed. BOE patterns that are not distributed during a raid will be sent to the guild bank.

In rare occasions, the Raid Leader may approve distributing a pattern to someone who is close to having the required skill level, to someone who doesn't have a pattern requiring it yet.

Backup Raiders

There are 25 members on the core raid team. Members that are waiting for a position to open up on a regular basis may be designated as a "Raid Backup." Raid Backup members may still earn DKP for the night if they are available during the raid times. Raid Backups that show up to the raid zone when the raid begins earn the Ironman and On Time bonuses much like a Core Raider. Raid members that stay in game and available (they may play an alt in the mean time) will earn half the DKP as a participant in the raid does (this includes bonuses).

What is DKP:
Think of DKP as soulbound money awarded for spending time and effort in attending guild events, mainly raiding. Alts have the same DKP as the Main; DKP earned on an alt is credited to the Main.

To acquire DKP:
DKP is awarded for participating in endgame raids, and other guild-related items that may occur from time to time. DKP is tracked by the officers using a tool called QDKP2 and stored online; officers can tell you your DKP if you send them a tell.

To use DKP:
There is no cap on bid, if you have 200 and you want to bid 200 the choice is yours that you have when called for by the Raid Master Looter (ML). You are required to know how much DKP you have, the minimal amount charged is 25 DKP. The classes and/or specs that may bid for an item will generally be limited; the decision of the Raid Leader is final as to which people may bid.

When an EPIC piece of gear that can be equipped drops, the Master Looter will make an announcement for those classes who are interested and eligible to send him a private /tell containing the amount of dkp to use. If the ML wishes to bid on the item, they will identify another officer to take the bids.

The person that has bid the highest will win. This is a one-shot bid, the highest will win, there is no re-bid option. Only the winner will be have dkp deducted. The amount bid is the amount deducted.

Special circumstances may occur in which a person may win an item by default and fall into a negative dkp range. This negative value will be suggested by the Master Looter and participating Officers will agree on a fair value. The 1 epic item per raid rule will have precedence over allowing someone to go negative.

People with Veteran status will have priority of those without Veteran status. (That includes both main and off-spec interest before the item opens up to non-veterans for either main of off-spec.)

Veteran status is earned once you have participated in four FULL raids. You will be a veteran AFTER the 4th raid is over.

If an item is not bid on for main spec, it will be offered for off-spec interest. People whisper that they have interest to the loot master who will then have them all roll for the item. The winner will be charged 5 dkp for said item won.

Example of the process for [Super Item of Other People's Doom]:
-Loot Master asks for main spec bids for [Super Item of Other People's Doom]
-If no bids then Loot Master asks for off-spec interest from veteran raiders
-If no interest then the item is available for main spec bids from non-veteran raiders (The loot master will already have these bids from the above process)
-If no bids from non-veteran raiders then the item is available to off-spec interest for non-veteran raiders (The loot master will already have this interest from the above process)
-If the item is still unclaimed it will be D/E'ed.
